As a part of the Talent & Development function within Corporate HR, the Abbvie People Insights team supports the global organization with HR data, analysis, and insights, to inform and shape the people-related planning and strategies most important to the business.
As one of HR's strategic priorities, the People Insights team has developed a consolidated HR data and software platform to increase the speed, flexibility, and capability of analysis; and enable the delivery of scaled, global dashboards.
We are looking for an experienced team member who has the knowledge and technical background to lead the ongoing operations of the platform, and in partnership with HR-IT, evolve the platform to next gen capabilities. The right candidate will bring a combination of leadership, strategic thinking, innovation, and creative problem solving. Preferably, the candidate will also have a deep technical expertise in HR systems, data, integration architecture, and the still evolving discipline of HR analytics.
Key Responsibilities Include:
Lead the HR data and technology strategy, planning, and execution to support advanced HR analytics capabilities at Abbvie
Manage the ongoing operations of Oracle-based HR data warehouse, and work with the dedicated DBA on People Insights team to resolve ongoing issues and requests.
Review and recommend improvements to the existing platform architecture, with the vision to build out a data lake that incorporates various sources of HR data such as surveys, assessments, benchmarks, etc.
Work with key external vendors such as Tableau to a) manage ongoing licenses and server upgrade activities, and b) leverage the latest offerings to evolve AbbVie's data platform capabilities.
Act as the People Insights team functional expert on Tableau, QlikView and other visualization and analysis software; train team members on software capabilities and features
Collaborate closely with the Abbvie People Insights, Talent, and HR teams to design, conduct, and support ongoing analysis, and ensure availability of required HR data
Develop and manage a strong working relationship with the Abbvie HRIT team to define and facilitate the necessary technical support requirements and build
Collaborate closely with the Abbvie HR Operations team to understand the current global HRMS deployment, data, and reporting
Conduct detailed research and comparisons of HR analytics and dashboarding technologies, software, and methods to make recommendations on the best approach and tools
8+ years of progressive experience and leadership responsibility in global technology systems and data strategy, planning, design, and implementation.
3+ years of experience leading the technology and data strategy to support advanced HR analytics, dashboards, and reporting
Strong technical and functional expertise with visualization, dashboard, and analysis software tools such as Tableau, QlikView, Visier, OrgVue, SPSS, R, etc.; experience with Workday and Taleo a plus
Experience leading detailed, global HR data strategy and design, data consolidation, data interface design, and denormalized database architecture to grow and optimize HR analytics capability
Strong familiarity with HR domains, processes, and data related to areas such as talent acquisition, talent management, succession planning, assessments, compensation, employee surveys, workforce planning
Vendor Management and Project Management experience a plus.
Bachelor's degree required; advanced degree in computer science, mathematics, statistics, or a related field preferred
