The Web Designer, International will be responsible for the design and workflow of AMResorts new market websites and email while ensuring a seamless brand identity across all markets. This position will provide graphic/web design services and assist in workflow efficiencies between markets.
This role will collaborate with the Senior International Designer and Associate Digital Art Director to maintain visual brand identity and guard its viability. Attention to detail and consistency will be key. Additionally, this role will need to work directly with the International Marketing Specialists. The Web Designer, International will also facilitate the workflow with outside agencies providing translation and design services. Collaboration and ability to communicate effectively with cross-team/department co-workers and stakeholders is an essential part of the job.
Provide design, workflow and content assistance for the international markets, including, but not limited to, website landing pages, emails, digital banners, social media campaigns, etc.
Follow the visual translation of content for the international markets
Develop a thorough understanding of the international markets and effectively maintain each AMResorts brand identity for each destination
Assist in creating deliverables including, but not limited to: sketches, wireframes, page design layouts, workflow diagrams and brand requirements documentation when needed
Work closely with the International Marketing Specialist to ensure workflow between the US and international markets runs smoothly
Work closely with our white label partners and translation services to keep projects running smoothly and on time.
Assist the Sr. International Designer with building and defining the international market
Be accountable for the accuracy of information presented online
Continually maintain the day-to-day established visual identity and maintenance of the international digital platforms
Consider multi-market, multi-lingual flexibility and future-state goals
Stay abreast of trends in design, with specifics to international markets
Help establish a positive environment with the team
Take constructive criticism and apply to all work that follows
Work independently, as well as work with co-workers, to complete projects

BFA/MFA in Graphic Design, Web Design, Human Computer Interaction or Interaction Design or a similar degree
3+ years experience
Spanish (Basic Spanish required, fluency is a plus)
Excellent design skills and grounding in information design
Understanding of UI and UX principles
Ability to adapt easily to changing business conditions and priorities
Proficiency in Adobe Creative Cloud and Sketch
Experience with prototyping tools: InVision, Axure, other similar tools
Skilled in HTML5 and CSS
Experience with CMS (Joomla/Wordpress/AEM)
Full understanding of responsive/fluid web concepts and mobile-first methodology
Experienced in web-based graphic production
Excellent typography skills
Adaptable, curious and excited to pick up new techniques
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
Ability to work on their own or in a team
Thorough and precise in their work
Works well under pressure and within tight deadlines
Skilled at multi-tasking and time management
Initiative to manage creative work from concept to completion

Working knowledge of After Effects, Final Cut and/or Motion
Portfolio should contain at least 5 examples that reflect a creative, innovative design aesthetic and a strong understanding of design principles and how they apply to web, mobile and print. Travel related work is a plus.
