Your challenge

The Global DBS Leader is responsible for promoting and facilitating the successful implementation of the Danaher Business System (DBS) at Videojet Technologies Inc. The incumbent will also be responsible for utilizing the DBS to develop robust commercial and transactional processes and rapid, effective mitigation of problems/issues. The main focus area for process improvement will be Commercial. Other areas of impact include Service, Operations, Finance, HR, Product Management, and others as determined by business needs.

Your responsibilities

You will work with commercial and transactional leaders to meet business objectives and improve functional efficiency. In this role, you will also:

  • Drive ever-improving results by leveraging DBS tools, consulting skills, and change management process
  • Assist site and company leadership in the development of a DBS roadmap
  • Provide coaching and guidance in the implementation of DBS processes and tools
  • Facilitate other DBS training sessions when appropriate (other trainers and consultants from Danaher, Shingijutsu, or other)
  • Assist in achieving business unit Policy Deployment and Strategic Plan objectives
  • Regularly participate in PD reviews
  • Continue to evolve DBS tools
  • Ensure and facilitate productive kaizen events
  • Promote and facilitate diagnosis of work flow impediments and other wastes throughout the business, and provide expert counsel on appropriate tools to eliminate them
  • Improve DBS training and facilitation skills by pursuing certification in DBS tools
  • Promote and facilitate associate development in various DBS tools, lean production, and kaizen leadership
  • Evaluate and approve DBSL’s for Master Black Belt certification
  • Benchmark and incorporate best practices

We are looking for a process improvement leader with global experience

Must be hands-on and detail-oriented but also able to see the big picture. Need to be able to think strategically and view the business from a general management standpoint. Must be very customer focused and have strong interpersonal and communications skills. Will need to be a quick study who can rapidly adapt to Danaher’s culture and gain the confidence of the Danaher organization. This person will be high energy and able to handle conflict. Will be an independent worker, capable of operating in a fast-moving, ever changing environment and able to effectively deal with difficult situations.

Your Education and/or Experience includes

  • 7+ years of Operations, Commercial or Engineering experience
  • BS or BA Degree in Business or Engineering required; Master’s Degree preferred
  • Ability to accurately assess key business metrics and situations from a “general manager’s” point of view
  • Ability to design, develop, and implement a process improvement roadmap for an operating business
  • Mastery of a variety of process improvement tools
  • Familiarity with various manufacturing process technologies
  • Hands-on experience implementing continuous improvement principles in a line management role
  • Exposure to and participation in a wide variety of training environments

Travel Requirements

  • 30-50% travel - Internationally
