PURPOSE AND SCOPE:

Senior member of the Enterprise Architecture and Services team within Global Digital Solutions & responsible for solution architecture supporting our Global Therapy Management and Connected Health Platforms. Primarily focused on the core and extended services of managing Peritoneal (PD), Home Hemodialysis (HHD), Hemodialysis, Home therapies/operations, and Connected Health IoT. This role will also include architectural work for Mobile Application Architectures and Enterprise Services (HIE, IAM, Data Analytics, Business Intelligence, ML/AI/AR). This role has both strategic and tactical responsibilities with direct, hands-on collaboration in the digital product development lifecycle.

PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Key Driver of the Solutions Architecture for digital based solutions in the areas of Therapy Management Platforms, Device Connectivity/IoT, and Mobile Applications
  • Primary lead for Enterprise Services - Evaluating and selection process regarding new services and expansion of existing services
  • Key Driver of the Solutions Architecture for digital based solutions in the areas of Therapy Management Platforms, Device Connectivity/IoT, and Mobile Applications

  • Primary lead for Enterprise Services - Evaluating and selection process regarding new services and expansion of existing services

  • Follows and expands upon the global software architecture standards of Fresenius GRD, GDS, and Enterprise Architecture and Services
  • Works with both internal and external software development teams during project execution to ensure compliances and adherence to all Architetcural guardrails
  • Works within globally distributed, multi-cultural cross functional teams
  • Authors and controls all software architecture documentation corresponding to assisgned areas of expertise
  • Defines and documents software architecture roadmaps
  • Collaborates with other members of EAS on architectural decisions and assessments
  • Performs technology and product/platform assessments presents finding back to the team
  • Performing software risk assessments
  • Working with regulatory teams to conduct software classification assessments for our digital solutions
  • Analyze business requirements in determining a breakdown of technical & software requirements
  • Review and Approval responsibilities for design documents including System Requirements, System/Solution Architecture Documents, and High Level Designs
  • Assists with various projects as assigned by a direct supervisor
  • Other duties as assigned

    EDUCATION:

    Bachelors Degree required; Advanced Degree preferred.

    EXPERIENCE AND REQUIRED SKILLS:

  • 10+ years of experience in a Systems/Solutions Architecture role working directly in a regulated industry
  • Technical leadership experience is required with 5+ years preferred

  • Experience in the HealthTech or Medical Device industry highly preferred

  • Strong understanding of HIPAA, FDA Cybersecurity Guidance, IEC 62304 medical device software life cycle and FDA 510k process requirements highly preferred

  • Experience developing and maintaining connected solutions (examples: telemedicine, telehealth, medication adherence, personal emergency response services, home alarm systems)

  • Defined and Matured multiple, enterprise software architectures

  • Part of a globally distributed, culturally diverse, cross functional team

  • Extensive and Practically experience in full product development lifecycle (involved from idea to realization)

  • Experience in architecting and product development under formal design control and quality management systems

  • Excellent technical aptitude with the ability to think independently

  • Strong analytical skills and detailed oriented

  • Well-developed visionary thinking / out of the box thinking

  • Experience in Agile development processes and methodologies

  • Collaborative with a strong desire to partner with others

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

  • Excells in a work environment with minimal oversight and micro-management

  • Full Stack Web development experience (Data, Network, Client-Side Technologies, Sever-Side Technologies)
