We currently have an exciting opportunity for a Software Engineer to join a large Financial Services organisation on a long termcontractending July 2020! This is based in New York City! The contract is due to start ASAP!

Mission:

• This role is in our IS Trading development team building best in class multi-asset OEMS. The system is engineered to handle billions of transactions a day with millisecond latency and no single point of failure

Key Skills Required

• 5+ years of hands-on experience developing complex enterprise software system is required
• Experiences in building distributed applications using NOSQL technologies like Cassandra, coordination service like Zookeeper, and micro services architecture is required
• Experience in message-oriented middleware architecture is required
• Understanding of relational database is require
• Hands-on experience in Java is required
• In depth understanding of concurrent programming and experience in designing high throughput, high availability, fault tolerant distributed applications a must
• Knowledge and experience adhering to software development life cycle best practices including test driven development, unit testing discipline, agile development and CI/CD strategies a must
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving and communication skills (written and verbal) are required
• Experience building UI components using latest in web technologies (e.g. React, Angular) is a plus
• Experience in electronic trading over FIX is a plus

You must have experience working in one or more of:

• Portfolio Management
• Trading (Equity, Fixed Income, exchange traded derivatives, OTC derivatives, FX, Repo)
• Prime brokerage, long/short strategies and cash reinvestment
• Security Lending
