Senior Systems Programmer (Falling Waters)

This position requires experience with large,complex z/OS mainframe environments and excellent problem-solving skills.Experience with z/OS, IOGEN, SMPE, OEM software products, LPAR support, Sysplexsupport, and VTAM/TCPIP Comm Services is required.

Job requirements:

Experienceworking in a large MVS, JES2 mainframe environment

Experiencewith IMS, DB2, CICS, and Assembler is a plus.

Perform storageadministration and replications functions to support currently defined currentrecovery methodology.

ManageEMC DASD and EMC Virtual tape environment

MaintainDisaster Recovery/Business Continuity Plan

Install,support, maintain current version of z/OS, and OEM software services

Manage,support and remediate all z|OS hardware and software issues

Supportand maintain Communications Server providing VTAM-TCP/IP services

Maintainand monitor security settings to control access

Provideapplication programming support as requested

Navigatehardware and software vendors' technical support portal

Determine rootcause of problem using diagnostics and recommend/implement preventative action

Design,implement, and support a multiple logical partitions (LPARs) environment

Performanalysis and make tuning recommendations to improve performance

Leadcomplex projects for software/hardware upgrades

Facilitate therelationship with hardware/software vendors to coordinate upgrades; maintainawareness of new/changes in hardware and software

Supportall Access Control Facility (Vangaurd) RACF,

Coordinateand assist technical support staff in the installation, maintenance

Applyrecommended z/OS system maintenance to ensure system reliability andperformance

Maintain third partysoftware products used by various departments to perform key business services

Support companyeffort upgrading IT infrastructure; analyze current hardware environment andprovide specifications for new hardware environment

Supportdata storage requirements on the MVS environment

Provide technicalsupport to developers and users of long and short-term application developmentprojects as required.

Maintain clearcommunications with management and peers regarding production systems statusand related problems

Performsall other duties as assigned by Management
