Position Description:
Joseph T. Ryerson & Son, Inc., one of the largest distributors of metals in the US, is currently seeking an e-Commerce Sales Representative to join our e-Commerce team in downtown Chicago IL. The E-Commerce Sales Representative will work closely with the sales teams to help drive growth within E-Commerce sales. This position will be responsible for sales rep onboarding/training, building brand awareness and market penetration. Representative will work with sales to train on site, and develop customer strategies using customer requirements, pricing history, analysis, and channel validity to identify opportunities and present solutions which will result in increased sales revenue.

Roles & Responsibilities

Become a subject matter expert on Ryerson.com functionality providing support to the commercial business
Build strong working relationship with sales managers in order to build knowledge and confidence in Ryerson.com and linked tools, processes, and best practices within the commercial organization.
Leverage tools and coordinate with e-Commerce Manager and Sales Managers to create, validate and qualify lists of high probability customers and work with the commercial teams for targeting.
Collaborate with sales peers to ensure alignment with business strategy, sharing of best practices and consistency of tools and practices including validating and qualifying customers with high purchasing probability to activate online
Coordinating proactive account set up needs with the e-commerce customer service team and sales teams members.
Collaborate with sales managers to create action plans for training sales representatives on Ryerson.com and customer activation best practices.
Facilitate Sales and Customer Trainings on Ryerson.com, with ability to handle challenges, gather, evaluate and assess feedback.

Position Requirements:
Bachelor s Degree
3 - 5 years inside/outside sales experience within the manufacturing and/or metals industry or combination of sales and e-commerce experience
Technologically proficient with strong interpersonal skills
Sales or E-Commerce Training
Excellent communication and presentation skills
Extensive travel required, up to 75%
Communication Skills, Technical Aptitude, Selling Skills, Learning Skills,
Salesforce knowledge a plus
