Job Title : Data Scientist

Location : Peapack NJ (Can work remotely but will need to be onsite occasionally)

Duration : 04 Months Contract

Job description:

The Data Scientist will be working in a unique position that allows them to gain a deep understanding and knowledge of the Pfizer Manufacturing and Aseptic packaging component operation while cultivating experience in building operational/predictive dashboards, applying machine learning, and skills in solving component related quality problems as well as co-developing predictive analysis strategies. This is an exciting role blending the manufacturing and quality challenges with data science knowledge in which you can make a direct impact on the organization.

Lead exploratory data analysis and data mining projects to gain business insight and answer primary business questions applying data science skills and analyze the Vendor and Site quality data using control chart models and quantify component suppliers quality risks.

Deliver business value is helping with forecasting component quality, designing cost of quality models, and utilizing data to help teams solve component quality manufacturing issues.

Conduct data discovery and system modeling analysis sessions e.g. Statistical tests, Principal Component Analysis, Data preparation and cleanup and outlier analysis.

Define and refine the business problem statement and setting up the appropriate hypothesis to test. e.g. Utilize the CRISP_DM methodology to iterate and refine the business problem.

Gain process understanding of the Vendor/Site inspection process, sampling plans, and data collection.

Assist in the development of predictive, classification models and support the analysis with iterative data analysis and testing the solution.

Act as a liaison with various BT groups in support for disparate data requirements to perform complex data analysis.

Additional Skills:

Knowledge of data science CRISP-DM methodology and process

Six Sigma/Lean knowledge a plus

Strong Communication skills both written and oral

Proficient in Statistics, R or SAS, Word, Power Point, and advanced skills in Excel desired.
