Job Title:System Operations Specialist

Department: Operations

Reports To: Manager of Operations

Position Summary: The System Operations Specialist monitors and controls computer systems and equipment setups, and runs sequences or diagnostics on multiple computer systems. They will provide a combination of administrative, technical support pertaining to routine day-to-day operations for a department or functioning area.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Project manage system releases and upgrades
  • Conduct system release and upgrade testing along with getting approval from client upon demo
  • Review and communicate release notes with client
  • Update user roles after a system upgrade (this is reviewed and approved by client Payroll Manager before changes are made to roles)
  • Provide support to all employees regarding all system questions and issues
  • System trainer for all new employees and upon system changes
  • Informer report writer (trainer / setup)
  • Provide assistance with new user system setup
  • Provide support for client admin work (examples; run daily reports to specific folders, manage task scheduler, manage daily conference calls with client and/or prism and/or the Company)
  • Liaison between Solvo staff
  • Other duties as assigned

  • Demonstrated success in building credible relationships and partnering with business leaders. Ability to apply change management initiatives to assist in business transformation
  • Proven ability to multi-task with a high attention to detail in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to effectively manage resources, track and complete projects before scheduled deadlines
  • Demonstrated interpersonal skills: relationship builder, empathetic and intuitive nature, articulate and professional
  • Must use logic and reasoning to make immediate decisions under pressure or tight deadlines
  • Proven ability to make proper judgment calls when presented by a situation/problem


  • Previous experience with Prism
  • Previous project management experience preferred
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills; strict attention to detail
  • A high standard of integrity and sound business ethics
  • Ability to work effectively with other internal and external departments
  • Ability to work independently and as a team player
